**Q: How soon will I receive the Wooden City Map I ordered?**
A: We manufacture and ship Wooden City Maps within 2-3 business days after the order is placed. The delivery is made to your chosen pickup point in Finland, usually in following 2 days. However, we recommend allowing 5 business days from the time of order to when the shipment is in your hands. If your order is time-critical, please contact us through the contact page, and we can usually find a suitable solution.
**Q: Why are the products manufactured after the order is placed?**
A: The foundation of our operation is sustainability. We don't produce products needlessly and stock them, which would waste space, time, and resources. This also minimizes material waste. Our operation is lightweight and agile, which allows us to offer our products at a reasonable price.
**Q: What materials do you use?**
A: Wooden City Maps are made from beautiful light birch veneer. It's durable, strong, and lightweight at the same time. The veneer's laminated cross-layered structure is created from thin-turn peeled birch veneers, sourced sustainably from well-managed forests. Our veneer is of AB/B surface quality, which is one of the finest and most flawless surface veneer qualities. AB, always on the front side, corresponds to premium quality.
**Q: Can I hang the Wooden City Map in my sauna?**
A: Really, we've faced this question as we are based in Finland :). No, not if the sauna is used for its intended purpose. Our products are designed for homes and spaces with relatively normal indoor humidity. While the birch veneer is very durable, we do not recommend using it in significantly wet or hot environments, such as a sauna or bathroom, where constant exposure could damage it.
**Q: Can I order this as a gift directly to the recipient?**
A: Of course, just enter the recipient's address as the delivery address.
**Q: I'd like to order a City Map of location X, which is not on your website. Is this possible?**
A: Yes, it is. Designing a piece involves various map data and infrastructure variables, but in most cases, it's possible to create it as map art. Place your order here and we'll make it happen. The delivery time is +2-3 business days in addition to the normal processing time. Pricing follows the same formula as with our pre-designed maps.
**Q: My Wooden City Map has an error; street X is missing, and boulevard Y is too wide. What should I do?**
A: The Wooden City Map is a piece of art work based on real-world measured map data. It's not meant to be used as an exact map but rather as a realistic representation of the area that is often meaningful to the owner. We aim for the Wooden City Maps to meet the viewer's inner map and provide the clarity of perception that maps are typically known for. It's not an exact road or topographic map, and all the smallest alleys and passages may have not been included, especially in large cities.

A: We've heard that Wooden City Map makes an excellent farewell gift.
